When pizza meets dessert

Following her Club Sandwich Pinwheels, and Creamy Avocado Guacamole, @justlikegranny wrapped up “Picnic Week 2022” with a recipe for No Bake Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies .

During our week long “Picnic” Series each of our creators went live with fun and creative recipes for our followers. We managed to get several of the recipes to share here as well. What I realized as I worked on my version, was to appeal ,in a subtle manner, to both sweet and savory tastes; so that when you finish the meal, you finish on the sweet side and a minute later you get a bit of heat, making you crave more

By now I can imagine many of you know my love of watermelon. I can eat it almost anytime of day or night, as is out of the garden, cubed with a bit of salt, in a salad with some savory spices or even as a cold “chili”. And you know what? The season of watermelon is upon us

Following her Creamy Avocado Guacamole, @justlikegranny dished out this recipe for Club Sandwich Pinwheels during our “Picnic Week 2022” .

The difference between a BBQ and a Picnic where I’m from is very simple. In the south when we say BBQ, or at least in Georgia anyways; we mean meat that we’ve put in the grill that will have BBQ Sauce on it in the future. We also have a word for meat that we’re cooking without sauce and that’s grilling. But, to go back to the topic at hand of the difference between a BBQ and a Picnic. A Picnic requires food made earlier that day or the night before such as items we’ve been cooking here on FoodTokTv during our Picnic Event Series this week in May.

During the week of May 23rd - May28th, each of our creators will be taking turns hosting a TikTok Live sharing some favorite and creative picnic ideas to inspire you to prepare for the spring. Recipes will be geared for folks with all cooking abilities.

One of those “no - this won’t work” recipes that has become one of my favorite snacks and toppings. The hardest part about the recipe is peeling the avocado and deciding to slice or cube.
