Bacon Wrapped Persimmons

As a big fan of anything wrapped in bacon, I was very excited with this recipe for Bacon Wrapped Persimmons from Andrea @GlutenFreeMommaAnn as an alternative to wrapping pineapple and/or shrimp. One note on this- you want to make sure you buy the firm variety of persimmons not the softy more oval one

Bacon Wrapped Persimmons

Preheat  400 degrees Fahrenheit

Ingredients

  • 5 persimmons

  • Brown sugar

  • Salt pepper

  • Bacon

Materials

  • Kitchen shears

  • Large knife

  • Parchment paper

  • Cookie sheet

  • Tooth pick

Directions

1 . wash your persimmons

2 .cut Into slices or chunks with knife

3. With a slice of bacon wrap around the slice or chunk

4. Poke a toothpick inside to hold onto the persimmons  cut with shears to make bacon shorter

5.   On some sprinkle brown sugar if I’d you want a sweet  outcome

6. On the rest crack some pepper and salt

7.  Bake for 20 - 25 mins or until bacon is crispy

This works as a wonderful holiday party appetizer
