Brazilian Lemonade
A creamy, sweet-tart, and refreshing Brazilian classic made by blending whole limes with sweetened condensed milk. Perfect for hot days or as a tropical treat.
Ingredients
10 small limes (not lemons)
1–2 additional limes, sliced (for garnish)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
6 cups water
3–4 cups ice, plus more for serving
Directions
Slice the ends off all 10 limes and discard them.
Cut the remaining limes into 8 pieces each, keeping the skins on.
Add lime pieces and 6 cups of water to a blender.
Blend for no more than 20 seconds to avoid bitterness.
Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a bowl or pitcher, pressing out as much juice as possible. Discard the pulp.
Return the juice to the pitcher and add 3 cups of ice and the can of sweetened condensed milk.
Blend until smooth. For a thicker texture, add more ice and blend again.
Fill a glass halfway with the drink, add a lime slice, then fill the rest of the glass. Garnish with another lime slice. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sweetened condensed milk if needed.
