Butter Swim Biscuits
A simple and buttery biscuit recipe that bakes up golden and tender, with a crispy, buttery bottom—perfect for breakfast or any comforting meal.
Ingredients
All-Purpose Flour: 2½ cups
Baking Powder: 4 teaspoons
Granulated Sugar: 1 tablespoon
Salt: 2 teaspoons
Buttermilk: 2 cups
Unsalted Butter: ½ cup, melted
Directions
Set your oven to 450°F (230°C).
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
Stir in buttermilk until just combined. Avoid overmixing.
Pour melted butter into an 8x8-inch baking dish.
Place the dough on top of the butter and spread it evenly to the edges.
Before baking, cut the dough into 9 squares.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
Let the biscuits absorb the butter before serving.
