Chocolate Ooey Gooey Butter Cake

Ingredients
1 box (15.25 oz) chocolate fudge cake mix
½ cup salted butter, melted
4 eggs, divided
1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
5 tablespoons cocoa powder
4 cups powdered sugar
Directions
Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking pan
Make the Base: In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter, 2 eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well blended. Pat the mixture evenly into the prepared pan.
Make the Topping: In another bowl, beat together softened cream cheese, cocoa powder, and the remaining 2 eggs until smooth. Slowly beat in powdered sugar until fully incorporated.
Assemble: Pour the topping over the cake base, spreading it evenly.
Bake: Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean, about 45 minutes. Let cool before slicing.
