Fake-occia

An easy recipe for focaccia bread.

 

Ingredients

  • 1 store-bought pizza dough ball (Aldi)

  • 2 Tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • Your choice of toppings like: Green onion scallion Mushrooms Grape tomatoes Peppers Olives

 

Directions

  1. Use olive Oil on a 8 x 8 or 9 x 13 baking dish (your bread will be thicker with an 8 x 8 and thinner with a 9 x 13) Place your dough ball into your selected baking dish stretch your dough into the desired size. Cover with cling wrap, leave it to rise for an hour or so in a warm place.

  2. Preheat your oven to 450° Pull the cling wrap from the top of your baking dish. With oiled hands dimple your dough with your fingertips.

  3. Sprinkle the top of the dough with onion powder, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Place the desired toppings, however you like. This is a perfect time to decorate your focaccia.

  4. Place the baking dish into a 450° oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Make sure to check at the 15 minute mark. Once it’s lightly golden brown it’s time to pull it from the oven. Let it cool for about 15 minutes.

  5. Slice and enjoy.
