LA Street Dogs

 

Ingredients

Serves 8

  • 8 Hot dogs

  • 8 Hot dog buns

  • 8 Bacon slices

  • Mayonnaise

  • Mustard

  • Ketchup

  • 2 Onions thinly sliced

  • 2 Bell peppers (any color), thinly sliced

  • 8 Jalapeños

  • Hot Cheetos

  • Canola oil

 

Directions

  1. Wrap each hot dog with a slice of bacon.

  2. Cut the onions and bell peppers into slices

  3. Heat canola oil on a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and bell peppers. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized and the peppers are softened, about 10-15 minutes.

  4. While the onions and peppers are cooking, add the bacon-wrapped hot dogs to the griddle or skillet, cook until the bacon is crispy and the hot dogs are heated through.

  5. Toast the hot dog buns on the griddle or skillet until lightly browned.

  6. Place the cooked hot dog in the bun. Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on top of the hot dog. Top with sliced onions and peppers.

  7. Top with Hot Cheetos ( optional )

  8. Add the grilled jalapeño on the side. Serve immediately and enjoy your LA street hot dogs!
