Low Carb/ Keto Shrimp Alfredo (starring Bacon)

When Christine (@OctoberDragonFly) knows how to make our @Foodtotoktv family drool, she tempts up with bacon! Today was no different as she shares here version of a low carb/ keto Shrimp Alfredo with the star of the dish being bacon.

Low Carb/ Keto Shrimp Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 1-2 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 1-2 tbsp minced garlic 

  • 1/2 -1 cup grated Parmesan cheese (or grated cheese blend)

  • 1 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • Salt & pepper to taste 

  •  1 tbsp “Better Than Bullion 

  • One package 8 oz noodles (I used kaizen noodles made from lupin flour)

  • 8 to 10 ounces of peeled deveined shrimp 

  •  Pre-cooked crumbled bacon about 4 to 6 strips 

Directions are as follows : 

  1. Dissolve better than bullion in 2 to 3 cups of water and bring to a boil.

  2. Add your preferred noodles cook until al dente. 

  3. In a separate pan, melt butter and add garlic until it begins to bubble then add one and 1/2 cups of heavy whipping cream salt, and pepper to taste .

  4. Bring this mixture to a simmer and then add your grated Parmesan or grated cheese blend. Stir until melted.

  5. Add shrimp if your shrimp is frozen let it simmer for about five minutes until it’s fully thawed.

  6. Add crumbled, bacon and previously prepared noodles.

  7. Give all of this a good stir. Serve it up in a dish of choice.

  8. Top with more bacon and grated Parmesan or cheese blend and enjoy and you already know it’s gonna be so good!
