Stovetop Crispy Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients
- 1 lb Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved 
- 2 tablespoons olive oil 
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder 
- Salt and pepper to taste 
- 1 tablespoon balsamic glaze or honey, optional 
- ¼ cup toasted nuts (like almonds or pecans) or dried cranberries for garnish, optional 
Directions
- Prepare the Brussels Sprouts: Wash and trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts. Slice them in half for quicker cooking and caramelization. 
- Heat the Pan: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the olive oil. 
- Cook the Brussels Sprouts: Place the Brussels sprouts in the skillet, cut side down. Sprinkle with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let them cook undisturbed for 4-5 minutes, or until the cut sides are golden brown. 
- Stir and Finish Cooking: Stir the Brussels sprouts and cook for another 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and evenly browned. 
- Add Optional Glaze or Garnish: Drizzle with balsamic glaze or honey for a touch of sweetness. Toss in toasted nuts or dried cranberries for added flavor and texture.
