Burger Tacos

Burger tacos are a fun and flavorful mash-up that combines the juicy, savory taste of a classic cheeseburger with the handheld convenience of tacos. Quick to make and packed with bold flavor, burger tacos are perfect for weeknight dinners, game days, or casual gatherings when you want something comforting, cheesy, and a little different from the usual taco night.

Yield: 10 Tacos
Prep Time: 25 minutes
Cook Time: 25-30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chuck (80/20 blend)

  • 1/2 pound venison

  • Blaxican fajita seasoning (or your favorite burger seasoning)

  • 10 ounces Oaxaca cheese

  • 10 large flour tortillas

  • 1 container of Crema

  • Pico de Gallo mixture

  • Shredded lettuce

  • Pickle slices if desired

Directions

  1. Make the Venison-Chuck Smash Patties

In a bowl, mix the ground chuck and venison until well combined. Divide into 4 ounce balls.

Heat your preferred skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Add a little bacon grease.

Place a burger ball in the skillet and smash it thin with a burger press or spatula.

Season generously with Blaxican fajita seasoning (or your preferred seasonings).

Let it sear hard for about two minutes until a crust forms.

  2. Cheese and Tortilla Flip

Flip the patty and immediately cover it with Oaxaca cheese (or your preferred cheese).

Once the cheese starts melting, place a flour tortilla directly over the patty.

Carefully flip the whole thing so the tortilla is now on the skillet.

Sprinkle more cheese on the exposed side of the patty, then fold the taco in half.

Press down and let it crisp up for about 12 minutes per side.

  3. Assemble and Serve

Remove from the heat and open the taco slightly.

Add pico de gallo, pickles, lettuce and any other preferred toppings.

    Drizzle with Crema.

    Serve while hot and crispy.
