Butter Bundt Cake
This Butter Bundt Cake takes a simple box cake mix and elevates it to a whole new level of deliciousness. With the addition of instant cheesecake pudding, extra butter, and milk, this cake tastes like it came straight from a gourmet bakery, but without all the fuss.
Yield: 1 Bundt cake, approximately 12-16 servings
Prep Time: about 10 minutes
Cook Time: about 33-36 minutes
Special Equipment: Bundt pan, electric mixer
Ingredients
1 box butter cake mix, any brand you prefer
One 3.4 oz box instant cheesecake pudding mix
4 large eggs
¾ cup milk
7 Tbsp melted butter
1 pinch salt
Directions
Preheat & Prep Your Pan: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F. Make sure your oven rack is positioned in the center for even baking. Next, generously spray your Bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Mix It All Up: In a large mixing bowl, combine all of your ingredients: the butter cake mix, instant cheesecake pudding mix, eggs, milk, melted butter, and that tiny pinch of salt. Using an electric mixer (handheld or stand mixer), blend all the ingredients at medium speed until the batter is completely smooth. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to ensure everything is fully incorporated.
Pour into Pan and Bake: Carefully pour the smooth batter into your prepared Bundt pan. Gently tap the pan on the counter a few times to release any large air bubbles and help the batter settle evenly. Place the pan in your preheated oven. For a Bundt cake, bake for 33-36 minutes. The cake is done when a wooden skewer or toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs attached.
If using other pan types like standard cake pans or cupcake tins, follow the baking times recommended on your butter cake mix box.
Cool Down: Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan on a wire rack for about 10-15 minutes. This allows the cake to set before you attempt to invert it. After this initial cooling, carefully invert the Bundt cake onto the wire rack to cool completely.
Decorate & Serve: Once completely cool, it's time for the fun part! Top your beautiful Bundt cake with your favorite embellishments. A simple dusting of powdered sugar is always elegant, or you can opt for a decadent glaze, a dollop of fresh whipped cream, or a colorful medley of fresh fruit.
