Butterbeer Float

A creamy, magical float that tastes straight out of Hogsmeade. Made with butterscotch soda, vanilla ice cream, and a drizzle of butterscotch syrup. Perfect for fans and sweet tooths alike

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Special Equipment: Ice cream scoop. Tall glass or mug

 

Ingredients

  • 1 (12 oz) bottle butterscotch soda (such as Flying Cauldron Butterscotch Beer)

  • 1–2 scoops vanilla ice cream (or butter pecan for extra richness)

  • Whipped cream (optional)

  • Butterscotch syrup (for drizzle)

 

Directions

  1. Chill glass: Freeze your glass or mug for 5–10 minutes.

  2. Add ice cream: Scoop 1–2 generous scoops of ice cream into the glass.

  3. Pour soda: Slowly pour butterscotch soda over ice cream to control fizz.

  4. Top it off: Add whipped cream and drizzle with butterscotch syrup.

  5. Serve: Enjoy immediately with a straw and spoon.

Optional Variations:

  • Frozen Butterbeer Float: Blend soda, ice cream, and ice for a frothy slush.

  • Adult Twist: Add a splash of spiced rum or butterscotch schnapps.
