Cold Brew Concentrate
A smooth, bold cold brew concentrate made with a simple 1 pound coffee to 1 gallon water ratio. Slow steeping creates a rich, low acid coffee that can be diluted to your preferred strength.
Yield: 8 -10 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 12 -18 hours
Special Equipment: Large container with strainer
Ingredients
1 pound coarsely ground coffee
1 gallon cold water
Directions
Add coffee grounds to a large container, pour in half the water and stir to fully saturate, then add remaining water and stir again making sure all grounds are wet.
Cover and let steep at room temperature or in the refrigerator for 12 to 18 hours depending on desired strength.
Strain through a coarse strainer, then strain again through a fine filter like cheesecloth or a coffee filter until smooth and clean.
Store in the refrigerator and dilute with water or milk before serving.

Dilute 1 to 1 for standard strength or adjust stronger to taste.
Serve over ice.
Use medium to dark roast for smoother flavor.
