Cook Time: 20 minutes
Special Equipment: large skillet with lid
Ingredients
4 thin cut chicken breasts
Lemon pepper seasoning
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Smoked paprika
5 tbsp butter, divided
1 tbsp oil
7 to 8 garlic cloves, minced
1/4 cup flour
2 cups chicken broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Juice of 1 lemon
4 slices lemon
Fresh parsley, for garnish
Salt and pepper, to taste
Directions
Season chicken with lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika. Heat 1 tbsp butter and oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook chicken until golden brown, about 3 to 4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Add remaining 4 tbsp butter and garlic to the skillet. Stir in flour and about 1/4 tbsp each of the same seasonings used on the chicken. Slowly stir in chicken broth and heavy cream.
Reduce heat to low and stir in Parmesan cheese and lemon juice. When the sauce thickens, return the chicken to the pan and top each piece with a slice of lemon.
Cover and cook on low for about 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, season to taste, and serve.
