Yield: 4 servings
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Special Equipment: large skillet
Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti noodles
6–8 slices bacon, chopped
4 tbsp butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp black pepper
¼ tsp salt, or to taste
¼ cup reserved pasta water
Parmesan cheese, for serving (optional)
Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Directions
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water before draining.
While the pasta cooks, add bacon to a large skillet over medium heat and cook until crispy. Remove bacon and place on a paper towel lined plate, leaving a little bacon grease in the skillet.
Add butter to the skillet. Once melted, stir in garlic and cook about 1 minute until fragrant.
Add drained spaghetti and reserved pasta water to the skillet. Toss well to coat the noodles in the garlic butter sauce. Stir the bacon back in and season with salt and pepper.
Serve warm with Parmesan cheese and parsley if desired.
