Irish Eyes

A smooth, creamy cocktail with Irish whiskey and cool mint from green crème de menthe. Rich heavy cream softens the drink into a lightly sweet dessert style cocktail that is simple and refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz Irish whiskey

  • 1/4 oz green crème de menthe

  • 2 oz heavy cream

  • Ice

  • Maraschino cherry for garnish

 

Directions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice and add Irish whiskey, green crème de menthe, and heavy cream.

  2. Shake 10 to 15 seconds until well chilled and slightly frothy.

  3. Strain into a rocks glass or small cocktail glass and garnish with a maraschino cherry.

  4. Optional:

    For a thicker dessert style drink use very cold heavy cream and shake vigorously.

    Half and half can be used instead of heavy cream for a lighter drink.

    Serve in a chilled glass for the best texture.

    This drink can also be blended with ice for a frozen version
