Lamb Kofta
Juicy and flavorful, Lamb Kofta is made with seasoned ground lamb mixed with fresh herbs, garlic, onion, and warm spices like cumin and coriander. The meat is shaped into skewers or patties, then grilled or pan-seared until perfectly charred and tender. Ingredients
2 lbs minced meat, finely ground to a paste
4 medium onions, ground
1 1/2 cups plain yogurt, whipped
1 tablespoon garlic paste
2 tablespoons green coriander, chopped
1 1/2 cups oil
1 packet Shan kofta mix
Directions
Prepare the Meatballs
In the minced meat, add half grounded onions, half yogurt, green coriander and 2 tablespoons Shan Kofta Mix.
Knead to make a smooth dough. Make about 40 small round meatballs.
Prepare the Mix
Heat the oil and fry the remaining onions paste until golden. Add garlic, the remaining yogurt and Shan Kofta Mix. Stir fry for few minutes and then add 2-3 glasses of water. Boil for about 15 minutes on medium heat.
Add & Cook the Meatballs
Add meatballs and reduce the heat. Cook until meatballs are tender; about 20-30 minutes. Do not stir with a spoon.
