Pineapple Dump Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 (20 oz) cans crushed pineapple in pineapple juice, undrained

  • 1 (20 oz) can pineapple rings, drained

  • 1 (6 oz) jar maraschino cherries

  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 1 (15.25 oz) box yellow cake mix

  • 1 stick salted butter, melted

  • ½ cup brown sugar

 

Directions

  1. Preheat the Oven:

    Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Prepare the Fruit:

    In a 9x13-inch baking dish, spread the crushed pineapple (with juice) and the drained pineapple rings evenly on the bottom. Add the maraschino cherries over the top.

  3. Add Lemon Juice:

    Pour the lemon juice evenly over the fruit mixture.

  4. Add the Cake Mix:

    Evenly sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix over the pineapple and cherries. Do not stir.

  5. Add Butter and Sugar:

    Pour the melted butter evenly over the top of the cake mix. Then, sprinkle the brown sugar over the butter.

  6. Bake:

    Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes or until the cake is golden brown and bubbly.

  7. Serve:

    Let the cake cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy it warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream if you’d like!
