Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Chops

These Brown Sugar Glazed Pork Chops are sweet, savory, and buttery with a little tang from Dijon and apple cider vinegar. The glaze caramelizes beautifully in the pan, coating each juicy chop in rich, bold flavor. It’s a quick, skillet-style dinner that feels fancy but comes together in under 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup light brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp water

  • 1 ½ tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 4 boneless pork chops brought to room temperature

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 3 tbsp butter

  • Drizzle of olive oil

Directions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, water, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Set aside.

  2. Pat pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides with smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the pork chops for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

  4. Reduce the heat to medium. In the same skillet, add the butter and let it melt. Pour in the sauce mixture and simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring frequently, until it thickens slightly.

  5. Return the pork chops to the skillet. Spoon the glaze over the chops and simmer for another 4–6 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).

  6. Spoon extra glaze over each chop before serving. Pairs perfectly with mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, or rice.
