Ingredients
Bars
1 box super moist strawberry cake mix (with pudding in the mix)
2 large eggs
⅓ cup vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Glaze
2 tablespoons strawberry preserves
1½ tablespoons milk
¾ cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon cream cheese, softened
Directions
Prepare the Cake Bars
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spray an 8x8-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
In a mixing bowl, combine the strawberry cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
Spread the batter evenly into the prepared 8x8-inch pan, pressing it completely flat with a spatula.
Bake the Cake Bars
Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until set and lightly golden around the edges.
Allow the bars to cool completely before glazing.
Glaze the Bars
In a small bowl, combine the strawberry preserves, milk, powdered sugar, and softened cream cheese.
Whisk until smooth and creamy.
Spread the glaze over the cooled bars.
Let the glaze set for a few minutes before slicing.
