Sautéed Mushrooms

Earthy mushrooms sautéed in butter, garlic, and thyme for a savory, aromatic side dish that pairs perfectly with steak, pasta, or roasted veggies.

Yield: 2-3 servings (as a side dish)

Prep time: 5 minutes (for slicing mushrooms, mincing garlic, etc.)

Cook time: 5-6 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter

  • 1 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil

  • 2 sprigs fresh thyme

  • 2 garlic cloves, minced

  • Salt and freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

  • Sliced mushrooms (any variety you prefer)

Directions

  1. In a small skillet over medium heat, melt the butter with the olive oil.

  2. Add thyme, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

  3. Add sliced mushrooms to the skillet.

  4. Stir and toss occasionally, allowing mushrooms to absorb the flavor and cook through—about 5 minutes or until tender and lightly browned.
