Sourdough BLTA with Dijon Mayo

A classic BLT elevated with creamy avocado and tangy Dijon mayo, all stacked on toasted sourdough bread. Simple, fresh, and packed with flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices sourdough bread, toasted

  • 6–8 slices pre cooked bacon, warmed

  • 1 large ripe tomato, thickly sliced

  • 4–6 leaves romaine lettuce

  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

 

Directions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard until smooth. Spread the Dijon mayo generously on one side of each slice of toasted sourdough.

  2. Season the tomato slices with salt and pepper.

  3. Layer romaine lettuce, tomato slices, warm bacon, and avocado slices on two slices of bread. Lightly season the avocado with salt and pepper.

  4. Top with the remaining bread slices, cut in half, and serve.

    Extra Flavor Tip:

    Mash half of the avocado into the Dijon mayo before spreading it on the bread for a deli style sandwich.

    Serving Suggestion:

    Serve with a dill pickle spear and kettle cooked potato chips.
