Special Equipment: 9x13 casserole dish
Ingredients
2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and cut into 8 wedges each
2 (8-oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1 cup Mountain Dew soda

Preheat the Oven: Heat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Wrap the Apples: Separate the crescent dough into triangles. Place one apple wedge on each triangle and roll up from the wide end. Arrange seam side down in the prepared dish.
Make the Sauce: In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla (if using) until smooth.
Assemble the Dish: Pour the butter-sugar mixture evenly over the wrapped apples. Gently pour the Mountain Dew around the edges and lightly over the rolls.
Bake: Bake for 35–45 minutes, until the crescents are golden brown and the sauce is bubbling.
Serve: Cool slightly. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
