Strawberry Cobbler

A classic cobbler with a buttery batter base and juicy sweet strawberries baked to golden perfection. Easy to make and perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

 

Ingredients

  • 3 cups fresh strawberries, diced

  • 1 cup sugar, divided

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 cup milk

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 6 tbsp butter

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. Melt the butter and pour it into a 9x13-inch baking dish.

  3. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, ¾ cup of the sugar, baking powder, and salt.

  4. Add the milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until combined.

  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the dish. Do not stir.

  6. In a separate bowl, toss the diced strawberries with the remaining ¼ cup of sugar. Spoon the strawberries evenly over the batter.

  7. Bake for 40 minutes, or until golden and set.

    Allow to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving. Great with ice cream or whipped cream.

    Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
