Tartar Sauce
This Tartar Sauce is way better than store bought! Mayo is combined with pickles, capers, shallot, lemon, and dill. Serve with your favorite seafood items that need a good dipping!
Ingredients
- ¾ cup mayonnaise 
- 2 pickle spears (any kind, but dill is recommended), finely chopped 
- 1¾ tablespoons capers, finely chopped 
- 1 shallot, finely diced 
- ¼ cup lemon juice 
- 2 tablespoons parsley, finely chopped 
- Optional: fresh dill, finely chopped 
- Salt and pepper, to taste 
- Optional: a dash of hot sauce 
Directions
- Add mayonnaise, chopped pickles, capers, shallot, lemon juice, and parsley to a mixing bowl. - If using, add fresh dill and a dash of hot sauce. 
- Stir everything together until well combined. - Season with salt and pepper to taste. 
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld. - Enjoy your homemade tartar sauce!
