Chopped Cheesesteak

 

Ingredients

  • 1 pack of shaved steak

  • 1 pack of French rolls

  • 1 yellow onion

  • 1 jar of sweet peppers

  • 1 crown of broccoli

  • 1 pack of thin, sliced provolone

  • 1 block of Velveeta cheese

  • 1/4 cup of heavy cream

 

Directions

  1. Preheat griddle to medium high and add olive oil

  2. Pre-cook broccoli in a sauce, pan or veggie steamer and set aside

  3. Add 1/3 of the Velveeta cheese block to a sauce pan and cook on low heat until cheese is just about fully melted, make sure to stir often

  4. When cheese is just about fully melted, add 1/4 cup of heavy cream and stir consistently until cheese is fully melted and creamy (add more heavy cream, if you would like the cheese to be thinner)

  5. Add pack of shaved beef to the griddle and cook beef until it begins to Brown, move shaved beef to one side of the griddle

  6. Roughly chop onion and add onion to the other side of the griddle and cook onion, until it begins to soften

  7. Once onion soften, mix, onion into shaved beef until it’s fully incorporated

  8. Add broccoli to griddle and roughly, chop it up once chopped up, add it to the shaved beef and onion mixture

  9. Mix in broccoli until it’s well incorporated

  10. Roughly chop sweet peppers, and mix into the beef mixture until the well Incorporated

  11. Add some cheese sauce to the beef mixture but make sure not to use all of the cheese sauce. Mix in cheese sauce until it’s fully incorporated.

  12. Spread out this beef mixture and add 4 to 5 slices of provolone cheese. Once the provolone cheese is slightly melted chop the provolone cheese into the beef mixture until it is fully incorporated and melted.

  13. Push the beef mixture to one side of the griddle, slice your French roll and place it on the griddle toasting just the inside of the bread

  14. Once the bread is toasted add some of the cheese sauce to the bread and add a slice of provolone to the bread

  15. With a spatula scoop up some of the beef mixture and add it to the bread top the beef mixture with more cheese sauce

  16. This sandwich pairs well with tater tots, garlic fries, or cheese fries
