Crostini Recipe

Simple, crisp, and perfect for toppings or serving on their own.

Ingredients

  • 1 baguette preferably day old, sliced into ½ inch thick slices

  • ¼ cup extra-virgin olive oil

  • 1–2 cloves garlic, peeled

  • Sea salt or kosher salt

 

Directions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Slice the Bread: Slice the baguette on a slight diagonal into ½-inch thick slices. arrange on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. sprinkle a small pinch of salt on each piece for added flavor.

  3. Bake Until Golden: Bake in the preheated oven for 10–15 minutes, flipping once halfway through. The slices should be crisp and lightly golden brown on the edges.

  4. Add Garlic: While the crostini are still warm, rub each slice lightly with a cut garlic clove for a subtle garlic flavor.

  5. Cool & Serve: Let them cool on a wire rack. Serve plain, or add your favorite toppings.

    Herbed goat cheese with honey

    Prosciutto and fig jam

    Smoked salmon and cream cheese

    Roasted red peppers with feta
