Directions

  1. Choose a Large Serving Platter or Board: Use a wooden board, slate tray, or large serving platter.

  2. Arrange Items by Category: Group cured meats together, cheeses together, etc., for a visually appealing layout.

  3. Fold or Roll Meats: Fold salami and prosciutto into ribbons or rolls for a more elegant presentation.

  4. Add Cheese in Varied Cuts: Slice some, cube others, and leave wedges for variety.

  5. Use Small Bowls for Juicy Items: Place olives, marinated vegetables, or anything oily in small bowls to avoid sogginess.

  6. Fill in Gaps with Bread and Garnishes: Tuck in crostini, breadsticks, or herbs like rosemary or basil for color and aroma.

  7. Serve Immediately or Chill Briefly: Keep covered in the fridge if making ahead, but allow it to sit out 15 minutes before serving for best flavor.
