Ingredients

  • 1 cup balsamic vinegar

  • 2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste

Directions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, pour in the balsamic vinegar and honey. Stir to combine.

  2. Simmer: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally.

  3. Reduce: Lower the heat slightly and let the mixture simmer uncovered for about 10–15 minutes, or until it reduces by half and has a thick, syrupy consistency. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.

  4. Check Consistency: The glaze should coat the back of a spoon. Keep in mind it will thicken more as it cools.

  5. Cool and Store: Remove from heat and let it cool completely. Transfer to a clean jar or bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

    Tips:

For a sweeter glaze, add more honey.

If it thickens too much in the fridge, gently reheat to loosen.

    Great on:

    Roasted vegetables

    Grilled meats

    Caprese salad

    Pizza

    Ice cream
