Cook Time: 10 minutes
Special Equipment: n/a
Ingredients
1 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
Directions
Combine Ingredients: In a small saucepan, pour in the balsamic vinegar and honey. Stir to combine.
Simmer: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Stir occasionally.
Reduce: Lower the heat slightly and let the mixture simmer uncovered for about 10–15 minutes, or until it reduces by half and has a thick, syrupy consistency. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
Check Consistency: The glaze should coat the back of a spoon. Keep in mind it will thicken more as it cools.
Cool and Store: Remove from heat and let it cool completely. Transfer to a clean jar or bottle. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
Tips:
For a sweeter glaze, add more honey.
If it thickens too much in the fridge, gently reheat to loosen.
Great on:
Roasted vegetables
Grilled meats
Caprese salad
