Easy Shrimp Chow Mein
Fresh fast and full of flavor this shrimp chow mein comes together quickly with tender noodles crisp veggies and a glossy savory sauce that tastes better than takeout

Ingredients
8 to 10 oz chow mein noodles or thin egg noodles or spaghetti
1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
2 tablespoons oyster sauce
2 tablespoons Chinese cooking wine or dry sherry
1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
1 to 2 teaspoons sesame oil
2 teaspoons honey
½ teaspoon white pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic minced
1 tablespoon grated ginger
1 carrot sliced thin
1 small head broccoli cut into florets
½ cup shredded cabbage
½ cup snow peas sliced lengthwise
4 green onions sliced whites and 3 inch strips of greens
Directions
Cook noodles and broccoli together for 3 to 4 minutes then drain rinse and set aside.
Mix oyster sauce soy sauce cooking wine honey sesame oil and white pepper in a small bowl.
Heat oil in a hot wok add shrimp garlic and ginger and cook just until shrimp turn pink then remove before overcooking.
Add carrots cabbage and snow peas and stir fry 2 to 3 minutes until crisp tender.
Return shrimp then add noodles and broccoli pour sauce over everything and toss until fully coated then add green onions and toss again.
Serve hot.
Tips:
High heat gives the best char and flavor
Grill shrimp first for smoky flavor
Garnish with sesame seeds or lime juice
