Mexican Hot Dogs

Ingredients
4 beef hot dogs
4 slices bacon
4 hot dog buns
1 medium white onion, sliced
½ medium bell pepper or 2 jalapeños, sliced
1 medium tomato, sliced
1 tbsp cooking oil or butter
Shredded cheese, mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, or pinto beans, optional
Directions
Wrap each hot dog with a slice of bacon.
Heat the oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the bacon wrapped hot dogs for 10 to 12 minutes, turning until the bacon is crispy.
Add the onion, peppers, and tomatoes to the skillet and sauté for 3 to 4 minutes until tender.
Toast the hot dog buns in the skillet until lightly golden.
Place each hot dog in a bun, top with the sautéed vegetables, and finish with your favorite toppings.
Tips:
Secure the bacon with toothpicks if needed while cooking.
