Mr CrownRoyal’s Elite Cajun Butter Sauce

Bold, buttery, garlicky sauce with a smooth Cajun kick that clings to everything. Packed with layered seasoning, a little heat, and a bright lemon finish.

Ingredients

  • 1 stick butter

  • 2 to 3 tbsp finely diced onion

  • 1 1/2 tbsp minced garlic or 5 to 6 cloves

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp Old Bay

  • 1 tbsp Tony Chachere’s no salt

  • 1/2 tbsp lemon pepper

  • 1/2 tbsp orange pepper

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1/2 to 1 tsp kosher salt

  • 1 to 2 tsp hot sauce

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice

 

Directions

  1. Melt butter in a pan over medium low heat and add diced onion. Cook 2 to 3 minutes until soft.

  2. Stir in garlic and cook 30 to 45 seconds until fragrant.

  3. Add garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, Old Bay, Tony Chachere’s, lemon pepper, orange pepper, brown sugar, and salt. Stir and let bloom about 1 minute.

  4. Stir in hot sauce and Worcestershire and let simmer another minute.

  5. Remove from heat and stir in fresh lemon juice. Taste and adjust salt if needed.
