Salt and Pepper Chicken
This quick, flavorful chicken is crisp, garlicky, and peppery with a tender inside and golden outside. Perfect over jasmine rice for an easy weeknight dinner

Ingredients
1½ lbs chicken breast or thighs, boneless and skinless
2 tbsp oil
½ tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp onion powder
1 tsp white pepper
2 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp Kewpie mayo or regular mayo
3 tbsp cornstarch
1½ tbsp minced garlic
½ lemon or lime, juiced
Cilantro, green onions, sesame seeds (optional)
Directions
Season the chicken in a bowl with salt, black pepper, onion powder, white pepper, soy sauce, mayo, cornstarch, and garlic until fully coated.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high with the oil.
Add the chicken in an even layer, sear until golden, flip, and finish cooking until the pieces reach 165°F and are fully done.
Squeeze lemon or lime over the chicken and serve with optional garnishes.
