Yield: 4 servings
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15-20 minutes
Special Equipment: Skillet
Ingredients
½ stick butter
1 bay leaf
5 carrots peeled and sliced
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp dried parsley
Salt and black pepper to taste
Directions
Melt the butter in a skillet over medium-low heat and add the bay leaf, letting it gently infuse the butter.
Add the carrots, garlic powder, parsley, salt, and pepper, stirring to coat evenly.
Sauté gently, stirring occasionally, until the carrots reach your desired tenderness, keeping the heat low enough to avoid browning.
Remove and discard the bay leaf before serving.
Tips:
Cover the skillet for the first few minutes if you prefer softer carrots.
A small splash of water or chicken broth can be added if the pan gets too dry.
