Simple Bhatura
Light, fluffy, deep fried bhatura made with a combination of self raising flour and plain flour. Perfect for serving with chole, curries, or your favorite Indian dishes

Ingredients
300g (11 oz) self raising flour
200g (7 oz) plain flour
150ml (5 oz) milk
150ml (5 oz) water
Directions
Mix the self raising flour and plain flour together in a large bowl.
Combine the milk and water, then gradually add to the flour, mixing until a soft dough forms.
Knead for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Cover and leave to rest for 1 to 2 hours at room temperature.
Divide into equal sized balls and roll into circles or oval shapes.
Deep fry at 180°C until puffed and golden brown, turning once during cooking.
Drain on kitchen paper and serve immediately.
