Simple Chapati
A traditional soft chapati made with just wholemeal atta flour and water. Simple, versatile, and perfect for serving with curries, vegetables, and grilled meats

Ingredients
300g (11 oz) wholemeal flour (atta)
180ml (6 oz) tepid water
Directions
Add the atta to a bowl and gradually pour in the tepid water, mixing until a dough forms.
Knead for 8 to 10 minutes until smooth and soft.
Cover and let rest for at least 30 minutes.
Divide into equal sized balls and roll into thin circles, dusting lightly with flour as needed.
Cook on a hot tawa or frying pan for 30 to 60 seconds per side until brown spots appear and the chapati is cooked through.
Serve immediately or wrap in a clean tea towel to keep soft.
