Sloppy Dorothy Sandwich

A Sloppy Dorothy sandwich is a rich, savory twist on the classic comfort-food sloppy joe, typically made with seasoned ground meat simmered in a tangy, slightly sweet tomato-based sauce. What sets it apart is the addition of bold flavors like sautéed onions, garlic, and often melted cheese, all piled onto a toasted bun for extra texture. Juicy, messy, and deeply satisfying, it’s the kind of hearty sandwich that’s perfect for a quick family meal or casual gathering.

    Notes

The Dorothy Lynch dressing brings a sweet, tangy, slightly smoky backbone-this is what makes it a true "Dorothy."

Hot honey adds a subtle sweet heat that works really well with the richness of the beef.

Texas toast gives it a more indulgent, knife-and-fork feel
