Candy Cane Caprese Holiday Platter

Ingredients

  • Fresh tomatoes, sliced evenly

  • Fresh mozzarella, sliced to match

  • Olive oil

  • Kosher salt

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Balsamic glaze, for serving

  • French baguette, sliced

  • Olive oil

  • Garlic powder

  • Dried oregano

 

Directions

  1. Slice the tomatoes and mozzarella into uniform pieces so they layer cleanly and evenly.

  2. On a large platter, alternate tomato and mozzarella slices, curving them into a candy cane shape.

  3. Lightly drizzle olive oil over the top and finish with a pinch of kosher salt.

  4. Tuck fresh basil leaves between and around the slices to add color and freshness.

  5. Serve with balsamic glaze on the side so guests can drizzle without disturbing the design.

  6. Brush baguette slices lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder and oregano. Toast at 350°F for 8–10 minutes until lightly crisp.
