Chimichurri Flank Steak Pizza

Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough

  • 1 lb flank steak

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 6 to 8 fresh mozzarella rounds

  • ½ cup chimichurri

  • ½ bell pepper, sliced

  • ½ cup cherry tomatoes, halved

  • ¼ red onion, thinly sliced

  • ½ cup mushrooms, sliced

  • Olive oil

  • Salt and pepper

  • Balsamic glaze

 

Directions

  1. Stretch pizza dough into desired shape and preheat cooking surface to medium high heat.

  2. Lightly oil the surface and cook the dough until the bottom firms up and gets light color, then remove and set aside.

  3. Season flank steak with salt and pepper and cook 3 to 5 minutes per side until preferred doneness. Rest and slice thin against the grain.

  4. Spread chimichurri over the crust, then top with shredded mozzarella, bell peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms, and red onion.

  5. Bake at 425°F until cheese is melted and bubbly. Add fresh mozzarella during the last couple minutes.

  6. Top pizza with sliced flank steak, drizzle with more chimichurri and finish with balsamic glaze.
