Ingredients

  • 1 bag dried whole green peas, soaked overnight

  • 1 tbsp no-beef broth paste

  • 1½ tsp liquid smoke

  • 1 tsp adobo powder

  • 4 cups water, plus more as needed

Directions

  1. Rinse and drain the soaked peas.

  2. Add peas to the crockpot with broth paste, liquid smoke, adobo, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well and pour in the water.

  5. Turn off heat and blend directly in the pot with an immersion blender until smooth and creamy. Leave on warm until ready to serve.

  6. Serve topped with fresh herbs, nutritional yeast, vegan sour cream, and croutons or bread.
