Cook Time: 55 minutes
Special Equipment: Large Skillet
Ingredients
4 thick-cut boneless pork chops
1–2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1–2 tbsp all-purpose seasoning, use generously
1 large sweet onion, chopped
8 oz mushrooms, sliced
5–6 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp Better Than Bouillon beef bouillon
1 (10.5 oz) can beef consommé
1 can water, using the empty consommé can
Directions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Season pork chops generously on both sides with salt, pepper, and all-purpose seasoning. Sear 3–4 minutes per side until a deep crust forms. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, sauté onions and mushrooms 10–12 minutes until browned and softened. Add garlic and cook 1–2 minutes more.
Stir in flour and Better Than Bouillon paste. Cook 2–3 minutes until lightly golden. Slowly whisk in beef consommé and one can of water until smooth and thickened.
Return pork chops to the pan, spoon gravy over the top, cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer 40–45 minutes until fork tender.
