Baked Apples (New England Style)
One of my favorite summer and fall snacks/desserts or “just because treat” is this quick and easy-baked apple dish. I loved it because I almost always have apples, butter, and some kind of cereal or granola for the filling instead of using uncooked oats.

My take on a Chocolate Peanut Butter “Impossible” Pie
I’m a big fan of using baking mixes as a quick hack when making Bisquick brand is one I have grown up with and use most, with Jiffy brand being a second. I came across this recipe while trying to figure out a way to use up some Bisquick and figured I would give it a try and fell in love. I guess the idea of it being impossible is how the magic happens with so little baking mix being used and it sets up its own crust while also being creamy, rich, and gooey. The best way to describe the taste and texture is a “thruple of love”; the marriage of a brownie, cake, and souffle’

Sweet & Savory Watermelon “Chili”
It came about from a favorite salad of watermelon & feta I discovered years ago here in San Francisco. What I realized as I worked on my version, was to appeal ,in a subtle manner, to both sweet and savory tastes; so that when you finish the meal, you finish on the sweet side and a minute later you get a bit of heat, making you crave more
‘tis the season to know your watermelon!
By now I can imagine many of you know my love of watermelon. I can eat it almost anytime of day or night, as is out of the garden, cubed with a bit of salt, in a salad with some savory spices or even as a cold “chili”. And you know what? The season of watermelon is upon us

The Difference Between a “BBQ” and a “Picnic”, by a Southerner
The difference between a BBQ and a Picnic where I’m from is very simple. In the south when we say BBQ, or at least in Georgia anyways; we mean meat that we’ve put in the grill that will have BBQ Sauce on it in the future. We also have a word for meat that we’re cooking without sauce and that’s grilling. But, to go back to the topic at hand of the difference between a BBQ and a Picnic. A Picnic requires food made earlier that day or the night before such as items we’ve been cooking here on FoodTokTv during our Picnic Event Series this week in May.
